Herbal medicine, also known as herbalism or botanical medicine, is a medical system based on the use of plants or plant extracts that may be eaten or applied to the skin. Since ancient times, herbal medicine has been used by many different cultures throughout the world to treat illness and to assist bodily functions. While herbal medicine is not a licensed profession in the United States, herbal remedies in the form of extracts, tinctures, capsules and tablets as well as teas may be recommended by healthcare practitioners of many different disciplines as a practical way to address a wide variety of medical conditions.

According to the American Herbalist Guild, herbalists can practice either as primary health care providers or adjunctive health care consultants. The Guild explains that most visits to an herbalist begin with a consultation about your past and current health history, your dietary and lifestyle practices, or other factors related to your health issue. Then, according to the Guild “the herbalist, with your involvement, should develop an integrated herbal program that addresses your specific health needs and concerns.”

Herbal medicine is considered most effective when used as part of a program of natural treatment that includes dietary modification, proper exercise, stress reduction, and mobilization of mental resources directed toward healing. Anyone can claim to be an herbalist, so be sure to look for someone with extensive training. Practitioners of both Traditional Chinese Medicine and ayurvedic medicine rely on herbs for treatment. You may be able to find a knowledgeable practitioner through the American Herbalist Guild. Keep in mind that professional herbalists who advise clients on the use of medicinal herbs are typically not licensed to diagnose or treat disease.

Herbal medicine is also a mainstay of naturopathic physicians (NDs or NMDs) who use natural approaches to promote wellness and treat disease. Naturopaths typically cannot prescribe pharmaceuticals, and not all practitioners have attended a four-year naturopathic medical school, so prospective patients should ask about training. You can locate a practitioner via the website of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians. While some MDs and DOs (osteopathic physicians) are learning about herbs and other natural remedies, it is unlikely that herbal medicine was included in their formal training.

In both cases, researchers reportedly did not find a clear-cut connection between the administration of vaccine and health problems. Although researchers were quick to clarify that these were preliminary findings, the results were still touted as “very reassuring”.

The results simply affirmed further the fact that despite the side effects that vaccines may have on some people, the positive effects still far outweigh the negative effects.

That is, of course, if the vaccine is administered in time. Going back to the ongoing swine flu pandemic, reports are saying that it seems that the flu is overtaking the arrival of the vaccines. We certainly hope that more doses arrive when they are needed the most.

The introduction of any bacteria or bacterial filtrate alive or dead ( vaccine ) causes a reaction of the body that results in blood clots from intense microbial action. These clots may be small adhesions that attach to the blood vessels or organs impairing their function or complete obstructions resulting in organ death. They are particularly common in kidney, lung, liver and brain. This intravascular coagulation is readily apparent in an examination of the blood vessels in the sclera ( whites ) of the eyes from vaccines. This is known as the Sarnelli / Schwartzman phenomena. There are several hundred references to its occurrence in the National Library of Medicine. It is called phenomena because the cause has not been understood.

You may have noticed that I often visit and revisit certain subjects of basic healthy lifestyle practices. I shall explain why. There are certain important healthy habits that can be easily neglected. Modern life has become so demanding and competitive that one fails to see their implications on health. The neglected practices of healthy lifestyle could incur harm on the body and brain on the cellular and immune levels, resulting in harmful consequences.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure you’ve heard it a million times, but how does it practically relate to illness prevention? In short, giving the body what it needs and keeping a constant supply of nutrients will help ensure that the body can resist any pathogen it encounters. Following a basic Wellness Lifestyle will go a long way toward preventing illness, as you will be supporting the body to function optimally.Avoiding grains, sugars and other highly starchy foods will also ensure that the body is functioning at peak immunity should it encounter a virus or bacteria. Some studies show that optimizing vitamin D goes a long way to preventing illness and shortening duration. Getting enough sleep is also a thing, and even a couple nights of interrupted or not enough sleep can leave the body worn down and unable to resist illness. Regular exercise has also been shown to reduce the number of times a person gets ill per year and the duration. But I’m sure you are already doing all that so in the off chance you are doing all of the above and you still get sick, don’t worry- there are natural ways to heal faster.
